What the Water Gave Me now published in US by Black Lawrence Press

For anyone in the US who'd like to buy my collection What the Water Gave Me: Poems after Frida Kahlo, I'm delighted to announce that it's now published by Black Lawrence Press and available to buy from their website for $14.

What the Water Gave Me was first published by Seren in 2010. It was shortlisted for the TS Eliot Prize, Wales Book of the Year and was a Book of the Year in the Observer. There's more information about it and sample poems on my website.

  1. Hi Parrish,
Thanks for writing a post about my Seren edition of WtWGM, that will be fine to add a poem, if you could use a poem that's already online? There are quite a few. If not, please just let me know which poem. Thanks so much for your interest in my book, which I really appreciate. I look forward to the post and enjoyed your blog post about the Bloodaxe anthologies. I agree they are THE anthologies and have almost replaced The Rattlebag for sheer inspiration.

    All the best

  2. Thanks for letting me know,

If you could limit the poems from the book to 2 that would be great (unless you are using ones already online), it's just that I have to make sure not too many of them are available online then I won't sell books! Thanks for doing this and for the link to my blog.
    Best
